KARLEE'S VISIT

This week Karlee came to visit! (My youngest sister) She recently returned home from her mission and we had not had the opportunity to see her, so we were very excited! As you can see from the pictures, so were the kids. They mauled her, hung on her, talked to her constantly, fixed her hair, and rarely gave her any privacy, unless she locked herself in the bathroom; and even then, they waited by the door. How great to be the favorite Aunt! We had a great week playing outside at the park, getting her hair cut and highlighted, going on a cub scout field trip to the old courthouse (which is now a pioneer and Ute Indian museum), eating out, catching up on mission stories, hearing boyfriend stories, and cooking! The girls both cried for a while after she left--and Tanner told me he held it in! Karlee, thanks for making the trip and having patience. After all this practice with your nieces and nephews, you will be a great mother yourself someday!

In our family the favorite aunt only comes to visit the kids. We just are the conduit to them as far as she's concerned. But you're right, it's a wonderful blessing to have an aunt that is so wonderful and loved by our children!
